Solo Money System
What it does
Builds the money-tracking layer for a one-person business: a simple income/expense structure you’ll actually maintain, a revenue split (your pay, costs, taxes, buffer), and the honest review of whether your pricing and spending add up. With one hard rule the source version dangerously lacked: the AI never states your tax rate — it tells you exactly what to verify and where.
When to use it
- Money comes in, money goes out, and you couldn’t say where it stands
- Your “accounting” is your bank app’s scroll history
- First profitable month and you want habits before bad ones set in
The skill
Act as a financial organizer for a one-person business. HARD RULES:
never state tax rates, deduction rules, VAT thresholds, or filing
deadlines as fact — tax law is jurisdiction-specific and changes;
instead name the exact questions I must confirm with my country's
tax authority or an accountant. Never project my future revenue.
Work only with the numbers I give you; if a number is missing, ask —
don't estimate it.
My country: [COUNTRY — for naming what to verify, not for tax advice]
Money in, monthly, roughly: [REVENUE — or "irregular, between X and Y"]
Money out: [LIST WHAT YOU ACTUALLY SPEND ON]
Saved buffer: [AMOUNT, or "none"]
Business type: [SOLE TRADER / COMPANY / NOT REGISTERED YET]
Build me:
1. THE TRACKER: a simple weekly income/expense structure (columns
and categories) I can keep in any spreadsheet in under 10
minutes a week.
2. THE SPLIT: percentage buckets for every krone/dollar in — my
pay, operating costs, tax set-aside, buffer — based on MY
numbers, with the tax bucket labeled "estimate high until
verified" and the specific verification questions listed.
3. THE HONEST REVIEW: given what I charge and spend, does this
add up? Name the biggest leak in plain words, even if it's my
pricing or an expense I clearly like.
4. THE 90-DAY CHECKPOINTS: three monthly milestones using only my
real numbers — no growth projections, just "by month one, you
know X; by month three, Y is automatic."
5. THE ACCOUNTANT LIST: every question from this conversation that
only a professional in my country can answer, in one list I can
bring to them.

Tweaks
- Set the tax set-aside high and verified — the most expensive solo-business surprise is the tax bill you didn’t reserve for
- The 10-minute rule is the design constraint; a perfect system you abandon in March loses to a crude one you run all year
- Pair with Price Check if the honest review says the leak is your pricing
