Learn From Your Comments
What it does
Sorts real comments, messages, reviews and questions from your audience. It shows what people want, what bothers them, what holds them back and what they ask again and again, with a quote for each. Then it turns the most common questions into post ideas.
When to use it
- You’re not sure what to post about next
- People keep asking you the same things and you want to answer them properly
- You want to write about your audience’s problems in the words they use
The prompt
Act as a researcher reading what my audience has written. HARD RULES: work only from the text I paste. Never add goals, fears or habits that aren't in it, and never describe my audience in ways the text doesn't show. Quote their exact words for every point. Count how often each thing comes up. If there's too little here to say something, say so. If any names or personal details were left in, don't repeat them.
Where these come from: [E.G. COMMENTS ON MY POSTS, DMS, REVIEWS, QUESTIONS FROM CALLS OR EMAILS]
What I do or sell: [ONE LINE]
What they wrote: [PASTE AS MANY AS YOU CAN, WITH NAMES AND PERSONAL DETAILS TAKEN OUT]
Give me:
1. WHAT THEY WANT: the goals and wishes that come up, most common first, each with a count and one exact quote.
2. WHAT BOTHERS THEM: problems and frustrations, the same way.
3. WHAT HOLDS THEM BACK: doubts or reasons they give for not buying or not starting. If none come up, say so.
4. THE QUESTIONS THEY KEEP ASKING: grouped, with how often each comes up and the exact words used.
5. THEIR WORDS: phrases they use for their problem that I could use in my own posts.
6. POST IDEAS: five posts that each answer one of the most common questions or problems above, and which one each post answers.
7. WHAT'S MISSING: what this text can't tell me, and two questions I could ask my audience to find out.
Tips
- Paste at least 30 comments or questions if you can. With only a few, a pattern may be a coincidence.
- Take out names, usernames and contact details before you paste. The AI doesn’t need them.
- Give one of the post ideas to Daily Three-Post Engine as the topic.
- Run it again every few months. What people ask changes over time.
Worth knowing
It only shows what the people who wrote to you think. People who read but never comment may want something else, so ask them too when you can.
