Reuse One Post

What it does

Takes something you’ve already written, like a post, an article or a video script, and turns it into versions for the other places you post. Each version keeps your message and your words, and fits the length and format of its platform.

When to use it

  • You wrote something good for one platform and want to use it on the others
  • You send a newsletter and want social posts from each issue
  • You made a video and want a written version of the same idea

The prompt

Act as an editor who adapts one piece of writing for different platforms. HARD RULES: keep my message, my facts and my voice. Add no new claims, numbers, stories or examples that aren't in what I give you. No claims about what any platform's algorithm rewards and no predictions about reach. Only write versions for the places I list. If a format doesn't suit this piece, say so instead of forcing it.

What I wrote: [PASTE THE POST, ARTICLE OR SCRIPT]
Places I want versions for: [ONLY THE PLACES YOU USE, E.G. LINKEDIN, X, THREADS, FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, A SHORT VIDEO, MY NEWSLETTER]
Things I never use: [E.G. HASHTAGS, EMOJIS, OR "none"]

Give me:
1. THE MAIN POINT: the piece in one sentence, so I can check you understood it before I read the rest.
2. ONE VERSION FOR EACH PLACE I LISTED: written for that format, like a short post, a thread, a video script with what to say and what to show, a carousel with one line per slide, or a newsletter section. Same point, same facts, my words where they fit.
3. WHAT YOU CUT: for each version, anything from the original you left out to make it fit, so I can decide if it matters.
4. ONE QUESTION FOR MY AUDIENCE: a question about the topic that I could post on its own or add to the end of any version.

Tips

  • List only the places you post now. A version for a platform you don’t use is wasted work.
  • Spread the versions over a week or two. People who follow you in more than one place won’t see the same thing twice in one day.
  • If the versions don’t sound like you, run Voice Matcher first, then try again.
  • Read a video script out loud before you film it, and cut any line you trip over.
